Article 14: 100 Healing Tips for Personal Transformation and Upliftment

butterfly-totem-temp-300Over the next 20 weeks I will be writing a series of articles entitled 100 Healing Tips for Personal Transformation and Upliftment that I intend to turn into an expanded book on the subject. Some of these tips are powerfully life enhancing and are truly meant to be practiced for soul growth. I call these areas of life mastery that we are here to recall. I’ll point these out along the way. Ideally these are the keys for living an enlightened, joyful life of abundance. The other tips will be what I call uplifting actions that will open the passage way for new beginnings. They are ways to “reach for relief” when times are tough as I learned from the teachings of Abraham–a wise group of non-physical Beings who speak through the conscious channel Ester Hicks. You can find out more about their teachings by visiting their website www.Abraham-Hicks.com. When we take action in a mindful way that attends to our truest needs, we always feel relieved. Actions that “reach for relief,” or thinking that lightens our spirits, all fall in the category of soul re-alignment.

It is my wish that you will attract to you the Healing Tips or inspired actions that will guide you in your journey of transformation. Keep in mind that these are tips that feel good to me and that I feel are life enhancing when taken in moderation. Your greatest resource is always inside of you, so always follow what feels good to you until a solution arises within you. Remember not to escape your problems through this feeling good, but use these tools to come back to a more relaxed, calm you so you can then focus your attention on the solution. All solutions lie within and you have the power to access them. I’ve grown to appreciate these healing methods as my ways of revealing that which is most beneficial for me to act upon, move toward or embrace in my journey. The bottom line is that life is a journey to be explored, so have fun exploring these tips and listen to your guidance in all that you embark upon and experience.

66. Steam Baths and Saunas for Auric Field Cleansing
Steam baths and saunas are very therapeutic and are great for cleansing the auric field. For those of you who don’t know what the auric field is, it’s the subtle body system that extends past your physical body. Keeping the auric field clear of non-beneficial energy, stagnant energy and so forth, helps to keep your energy systems working well. Steam baths and saunas can be very refreshing and revitalizing. They are also great for detoxing the body. Saunas and steam baths will cause the body to sweat which helps the body to release toxins of all kinds. They can also help to alleviate tension and sore muscles. I once read a book about a women who had such an extreme sensitivity to everything that she literally had to close herself off from society and live in an extremely sterile environment and eat only certain foods. She finally found someone who could help her and they prescribed daily sauna therapy for a long period of time. She actually was able to heal a great deal of her sensitivity issues with this alone. Remember that your skin is an organ and it needs to sweat to purify itself. Overall, the benefits of saunas and steam baths are relaxation, reduced muscle tension, better circulation and an overall sense of well-being.

67. Chanting Sacred Sounds
For centuries monks and teachers of spirituality and meditation have used chants to enter into altered states of the mind. There are chants for all types of purposes including activating the body’s energy centers (or chakras), awakening to higher consciousness, clearing negative energy from the body and subtle body, entering into ecstatic states of being and promoting overall sense of well-being. Everything in this Universe is made of sound including us. When you break things down to a quantum level, there is only vibration or sound. It makes sense that sound would be a great way to “tune” our vibration to a new song. Below are a list of Sanskrit phrases that you can chant during your meditation time or even just during the day. I find them to bring about states of calm, relaxation and inner peace at times. Practice using them silently or out loud for 10-20 minutes and see how you feel. With practice comes entrainment with the sounds meaning. Try to make it a daily practice for 30 days and see what happens in your body and life.

OM: (Pronounced with a long O like Toe) the most universal of all seed mantras and is known to be the sound of creation and cause of energy to gather and flow upward and outward

OM Shanti OM: Translation– I am Peace (Shanti is pronounced Shantee).

KRIM: (Pronounced Kreem) Stimulates the lower chakras (or energy centers of the body) to awaken and begin to purify.

SHRIM: (Pronounced Shreem) promotes bodily and spiritual health, beauty and happiness.

HRIM: (Pronounced HREEM) arouses healing and creativity along with awakening compassion and purifying the heart.

HUM: (Pronounced HUM or HOOM): promotes the breakdown of negativity energies and patterns of resistance spreading positivity and vitality through the body.

68. Drink Herbal Teas
Herbal teas are a great way to restore balance to your mind and body. I believe that The Creator of all Life gave us everything that we needed to heal ourselves. Herbal teas are made from plants and things found in nature. For centuries, medicine men or tribal healers have been using herbs and plants to treat all kinds of ailments. Herbology is an ancient form of healing that works with the natural elements to bring about healing within the body. Teas can be used for calming symptoms of anxiety, healing depression, raising the chi in the body, sweet cravings, boosting the immune system, lowering blood pressure, helping with sleep disorders, losing weight, promoting meditative states and much more.

I would recommend that you buy organic herbal teas. They are worth spending the money on as they are pure and untainted with chemical enhancers. There are also wonderful tea and herbal remedy companies that you can find online. Google is a great resource for finding a tea to assist you with any ailment. You may even have a Chinese herb pharmacy in your town that you could go to for remedies. Be sure to follow the instructions for steeping the tea as this will bring out the maximum potential of the tea’s healing qualities. It’s also best not to boil your water in a tin pot or any type of vessel that would not be beneficial to the body. I also recommend that you bless your tea with a prayer, send light to it if you’re a healer or simply imagine White Light going into the tea with the intent of raising it’s vibration to that which best serves you. Lastly, I suggest that you make your tea time a sacred time of self nurturing. Be present with your tea and allow it to nurture you. Breathe in it’s aroma as your olfactory senses will stimulate the brain’s healing response a lot faster than through the blood stream. Ultimately, your tea experience is meant to be a time of self care that uplifts you so give your self permission to enjoy the moment.

69. Indulge All Your Senses
In this fast paced world we seldom take the time to just indulge fully in our senses. We rush through our meals forgetting to taste it, smell, see it and feel it. We even zone out in front of the TV instead of being in the richness of the colors and sounds. When was the last time that you felt a rain drop on your skin or really felt the shower water and the soap on your body. All of our senses are meant to bring us delight in the world. Slowing down to actually “smell the roses” is so important to living a whole, abundant life. It’s a part of our well-being to experience the world with a sense of wonder and delight. Indulging in our senses can assist in restoring vitality to our mind and our bodies. It’s a regenerative process of self love and self nurturing. When we are truly present with our senses our world comes alive and we naturally begin to thrive. Sharing in the abundance of the world requires us to tap into our senses so that we can fully receive what God has created and what we have created in our lives. Honor yourself in this indulging though and be mindful not to over indulge. Imbalance is imbalance, and you’ll be able to tell when you’re satiated. Listen to those signals and the exploration of your senses will bring you much joy.

70. Live Your Passion and Joy
Passion fuels the fires of love. I truly believe that we are meant to follow our joy, or better yet, to live and BE our joy in this world. So many of us get so caught up in other’s view of the world, other’s dreams and other’s myopic beliefs that we forget how Omnipotent we truly are. We are meant to be passionate and alive inside. We are meant to be enthralled with possibility and to live our dreams. Whatever you are passionate about or truly enjoy is a desire of your Soul and the calling of your Soul. People without passion tend to be bored with life, apathetic, pessimistic and overly concerned with others opinions. But even behind all of this negativity lies a sleeping giant called passion just waiting to be woken up. Keep in mind that this is a benevolent giant that lives in harmony with the good graces of the Divine Will that awakes it.

If you’re caught in a funk and not even sure what your passion is, then I suggest you start asking your Higher Power to show you what fuels your fire. You can also go online and take a passion test or hire a passion consultant (yes they do exist) to assist you in aligning with your hidden gifts and talents. No matter what your level of funk is, you can move out of it and back into the passions that bring you joy and harmony in your life. Reach out to people, get some help if you need to, but don’t let the well of your passion lay there unused. It’s abundance is rich and nurtures you. I suggest that you make a list today of all the things that you are passionate about or were passionate about at some time in your life. Then choose the ones that feel the best to you now and start to live them. Not only will this revitalize your life and heal any ailments, but you will also become much more attractive in the Universe to all the things you desire.
